Summer in Ohio: WBGU-PBS

During my four years at PBS affiliate WBGU in Bowling Green, Ohio, I worked on numerous productions including the Summer in Ohio web series. This episode covers the Inkcarceration Music Festival at the Mansfield Reformatory—the historic site where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed—capturing the intersection of live music, tattoo culture, and the venue’s unique history.

I served as a b‑roll camera operator on site and edited the final episode, shaping footage from performances, vendors, festival‑goers, and reformatory tours into a cohesive story about community and place. The edit balances atmosphere and energy while supporting the series’ mission to highlight distinctive events across the state.

I also edited another installment of Summer in Ohio featuring the Asian Festival in Columbus, celebrating cultural diversity through food, art, and performance.
